Cedar Badge

What is Cedar Badge
Cedar Badge: Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops teaches Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. This district-level event is intended to assist those units with limited training resources, or those interested in giving their leaders additional exposure to unit operations, how to plan campouts, campfires, interfaith services, how to lead songs, and make the youth-run program operate more smoothly.

Neal McGuffey is now an Eagle Scout!

Neal McGuffey is Boy Scout Troop 270’s most recent graduate to accomplishing what only 6% of all Scouts are able to, becoming an Eagle Scout.  Neal took his Eagle Board of Review last night October 21st 2019 at 8pm and soon emerged as another trained leader and model citizen ready to help and serve mankind.

The Boy Scouting Model works well when used properly and Scouts along with Parents are committed to the Program. It develops Boys whom are ready to lead others, kind, polite and caring about our world and others.  Join Boy Scouting today!

Brent Nicks – Promoted to Eagle Scout!

Brent Nicks Eagle Scout

Brent Nicks – Promoted has passed his Eagle Board of Review on 10.22.19 and is now an Eagle Scout!  The highest rank in Scouting!

Brent has become the second Scout from Boy Scout Troop in 2019 to advance to Eagle Scout ranking, we had 2 Scouts in 2 days….a record!  Even though Brent has accomplished his Eagle rank early in his Scouting career he plans on staying around to help his Troop and fellow Scouts achieve their Eagle rank also, after all Scouts are helpful.
Look forward to a shared Eagle Ceremony in the near future.
