About Us
Boy Scout Troop 270 in Riverside CA is sponsored by the First United Methodist Church and has been active for over 30 years.Our Scouts goals are to be active in our community, enjoy adventurous minimalist camping, regular Merit Badge opportunities all while living up to the Scout Oath, Law and Outdoor Code.
About our Scout Troop:
- One of Riverside’s oldest Boy Scout Troops at 31 years.
- Supported by First United Methodist Church (FUMCOR)
- Boy led – Scouts manage the program
- Patrol Method as best we can.
- We have an annual plan
- Wide variety of activities
- Teach basic skills of life
- Caring & Enthusiastic Leaders
What Will My Son Get Out Of It?
- Work in a team, his Scout Patrol, make decisions
- Advance in Rank, knowledge and leadership

Who can join Boy Scouts?
- Be older then 10 or finished the 5th grade and less then 18
- Live nearby downtown Riverside City.
- Most of our Scouts are from Jurupa Valley, Rubidoux, Mira Loma, Orange Crest, Woodcrest, and City of Riverside. If you are out of area and want to drive in you are welcome to.
